The idea of returning home with your baby is exciting but may also feel daunting.
Discharge timing is generally:
- Vaginal Delivery: 24–48 hours
- Cesarean Delivery: 72–96 hours
Before you leave, you’ll receive:
- A discharge summary with instructions for mother and baby care
- Counseling on breastfeeding, sleep, warning signs to look for
- Immunization schedule and follow-up appointments
Checklist before going home:
- Baby clothes and blanket
- Car seat (rear-facing, properly installed)
- Feeding supplies (breast pump if needed)
- Emergency contact numbers
We aim to make this transition smooth with 24/7 post-discharge helpline access and scheduled home care options.
