Measles
Measles is a serious viral infection that causes a rash, high fever, and respiratory symptoms. It can be prevented with the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine.
Symptoms:
- High fever and cough
- Red, blotchy rash starting on the face and spreading
- Runny nose, sore throat, and red eyes
Treatment:
- There is no specific antiviral treatment for measles, but supportive care (rest, fluids, fever management) can help.
- Measles can be serious, so vaccination is the best prevention.
