Feeling your baby move is one of the most exciting parts of pregnancy! These little kicks, rolls, and jabs are not just adorable, they’re a sign that your baby is growing and doing well.
Most moms start feeling movement between 18 to 25 weeks, and once you do, it’s a good idea to track your baby’s kicks daily, especially in the third trimester.
You can track by:
● Picking a time when your baby is usually active (like after meals or in the evening).
● Lying on your side and noting how long it takes to feel 10 movements.
● Ideally, you should feel 10 kicks within 2 hours, but most babies do this much quicker!
If you notice a significant drop in movement, or if your baby isn’t moving like usual, don’t wait to reach out to your doctor right away.
At Borneo Mother & Child Hospital, we’ll guide you on how to track movements properly and what to expect as your baby grows. It’s all part of making sure both you and our little one are healthy and safe.
